Mastering Renewable and Alternative Energies

Introduction

Do you wish global warming potentials to escalate and affect our livelihoods? How can renewable energy reduce the carbon footprint and hence reduce the global warming potentials? The whole world is focusing on green energy, reduction of carbon footprint, and reduction in global warming potential. A cleaner environment and sustainable smart grids and microgrids are the mainstays of today’s electrical energy generation. Emerging economies are seriously looking into the optimization of renewable energy generation. Electricity storage and integration of renewables to the grids are gaining momentum in the electric power industries. Renewable energy sources are sources of energy that is constantly replenished through natural processes. These resources are often also referred to as alternative or renewable energy, mainly because they are a fuel option that can replace conventional non-renewable fossil fuels. Technologies like solar and wind power are becoming more common across the globe, and are both examples of renewable energy sources. There are several ways to generate power from renewable sources. Distributed energy resources and other renewable energies are hydroelectricity; geothermal, tidal energy, and biomass are rapidly gaining recognition in the generation of electricity.

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practices. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting
